Orchard Bank Problems?

• As a 18 yr old I managed to screw up my credit BAD. Since 2003 I've worked so hard to rebuild my credit. Ive had 2 car loans paid perfect. In 2005, I got a 200.00 sec. card with Orchard Bank to work on that part of my credit. Since opening I have paid perfectly. In 11/06 I got approved for a Target Card as well as a Chase Platinum. I called today to close my acct with Orchard. The rep said she upgraded my acct to a unsecured and I would get my deposit refunded in 30 days. I paid the balance off a month ago but I was happy to be "graduated. I figured I'd keep the card around for emergencys. I then called back to verify. The next person I spoke with said my request was not approved to have an unsecured card. Irratated I closed my acct. So now I wait the month to see if I receive my 200.00 deposit back. Target has already increased my credit limit from 200.00 to 500.00. I work for Chase credit cards so I got a 0.00% for a year. Has anyone else had problems with Orchard?

  only advice ..Never ..never ,ever ever..pay more than 9% on a card I will not even accept one that does not offer more than a year no interest ,and when the 0% interest is over , I make sure the card is paid in full as to never pay interest , you would not believe the negotiations they will do to keep you as a client..Discover offered me a $20,000 limit with interest after 2 years then 13% i got them down to 3% for life then I still threatened to cancel they are going to call me back later , I gave them 10 days to think it over , I may keep it at 3% if they up it to 30 k but I will never use it if I do I will put no more on it than what I can pay at the end of the month , ((to avoid interest all together)) Never dealt with Orchard ,did not offer good rates I will not pay an annual fee either
