I have a student loan on my credit from 2 different companies for the same amount is that disputable?

Actually it is. When the original creditor sells the account to the collection company they are required to report your balance as $0. So, if they are still showing a balance, you should dispute it with the credit bureaus.

Check the dates to see when was the last time that they both reported. If one hasn't updated in a while check with you student loan company maybe you loan was sold. As long as they are showing current they will not have a negative affect on your credit.
