How much is a prepaid credit card at kmart?

  Different lenders have different criteria. Before I app for anything I go to a website called creditboards.com They have a section there called the "credit pulls database" You have to register on the site (username & PW) to view this section but I highly recommend it! That section gives you several areas to fill out, like lender (chase, Bank of america, AMEX, etc), State, credit reporting agency...and maybe a couple others. I ONLY fill out the lender, then hit enter. You can see who was approved for how much, with what score (meaning FICO score), from which reporting agency, what is their limits, what is their apr...and more. Often lenders use different reports depending on the State you live in, so seeing the bigger picture is a good thing. Hope this helps, but if I were you, I'd stay away from store cards & certain gas cards. They have notoriously high apr's on them when a bank or credit union card (visa or Master Card) will be much lower! Do some reading & some homework & don't assume your scores from sites like "free credit report . com" & the like are real. Those are known as FAKO's & no lenders use them. Experian won't sell us our FICO scores any more, so you might want to stay away from lenders who pull them exclusively.
