How can I get direct tv with no credit check?

When a company does a credit check and your credit is bad, does that mean you won't get the job?

  • I work in the insurance industry and now they do credit checks on prospective employees because the job entails dealing with finances. A lot of people in my industry get hired as a temp to perm. To work as a temp, typically you don't have to go through a credit check. I am in the process of doing a short sale and going bankrupt. If I'm a temp worker, and they like me, as I am a good worker, do you think there is a chance they'll surpass my bad credit and hire me on permanent? Especially if I'm a temp for a few months and I show I'm doing good work? Or, when credit checks come back poorly, does that mean the company definitely will not hire you? Thanks.

  • Answer:

Most employers take into consideration other factors beside ones credit score. People who actually handle cash or other funds might be tempted to misappropriate funds to help pay off debt, this is when a poor credit score might affect ones job chances. Employers are more concerned nowadays as to ones eating habits, do they smoke and will they cause higher insurance costs. Best bet is if they are interested in hiring you full time, talk to them and let them know your situation. You are not the only one having tough times in today's economy.
