Can I make a PayPal account with a prepaid visa gift card?

Paypal- prepaid visa gift card, card statement?? HELP PLEASE!!?

• i bought a visa gift card from target the other day and i hooked it onto my unverified paypal account. they said i need to get my card statement and enter the 4-digit paypal code it comes with it. i have no clue what a card statement is and i was wondering how to get it? does it come in the mail? how am i going to get the 4 digit code? i did something so they can confirm it and this is what it says: Please confirm your card in 2-3 days We charged $1.95 USD or equivalent to your Visa X-**** card to make sure it's yours. The charge creates a unique 4-digit code that will show up on your Card statement within a few days. How to confirm your card 1.In 2-3 days, check your Card statement for the charge from "PAYPAL" with a 4-digit code next to it. 2.Log back in to your PayPal account and click Confirm my debit or credit card 3.Enter the 4-digit code from your Card statement. We'll refund the $1.95 USD or equivalent charge into your PayPal account within 24 hours after you confirm your card.

  Did you read the Paypal help pages before starting this process? Paypal doesn't want these cards and if you can't get online access to see the $1.95 charge, you will never get it verified.
