How can I increase my credit score in 1 to 2 days?

  • Hi I'm trying to buy a home and I need to get pre qualified for a loan by bank of America to make a offer on this house. I called to do it but they said my credit score is 2 numbers below there minimum to get pre qualified. Please help I need to raise my credit score by 2 or more points as fast as possible.

There is only one "fast" way to increase your credit score and it applies to specific circumstance, your credit utilization, which is the amount of your total credit limit that you are using. This is big part of your credit score. i.e. If you have a $1,000 credit limit and you have a balance of $950, then you'd be near max out levels and your credit score would be lowered. Paying down the balance to at least below 25% of the credit limit could provide a fast boost to your credit score, assuming no other negative factors. the total time for the increase might take 30-60 days to reflect in your FICO score. - If your low score is the result of late pays or defaults, then only the passing of time will increase your score.
