What are the pros & cons of having 7 credit cards?

  • My friend told me he has 7 cards. :O

    If they are all active and have balances... then your obvious "con" is the 7 separate bills that show up every month and want to be paid. 7 is too much. If the cards have at least decent credit limits (that are not maxed out) then yes, I guess having a lot of credit available could make your friend feel better.. but overall.... it's just plain stupidity and not worth the bling effect it might have on less "fortunate" friends.

if i were you i'd ditch credit cards.there are other more lower risk ways of building credit().credit card are just to spend money you dont have.get a debit card instead.you can never go wrong with a debit card because you'd be spending your own money,you wont be in debt to anyone, and it will force you to watch your finances and save better.P.S. your friend is just digging him/herself into a ditch by using a credit card,let alone 7 of them.
