Can anyone tell me about SWOT analysis?

I heard about the word SWOT(Strength,Weekness, Oppertunity and Threads). I took some of my move using SWOT analysis. I was faliured. I think, I am not clearly understand about SWOT analysis. Just someone clearly tell me about this.
