How helpful is a business administration minor to an aspiring civil engineer?

How much do people in business administration earn?

  • I am studying business administration. I want to know how much a person that works in business administration earns? I am majoring in management. I am thinking about taking accounting, and financing classes as electives so there is a possibility that I might have a minor or double major in accounting or finance. That is not positive though, just thinking about it. My main question is how much does a person that works in business administration make each year? Does anyone know how much people with associates, bachelors and masters earn? I want to go as far as a MBA - Masters of business administration. With a concentration/major in management. I am taking it one step at a time though, and I will be getting my associates in about 9 months. I am thinking of working part time, and going to school for my bachelors then masters.... after I get my associates. So in the career field of business administration, how much do people make? When they have an associates? Bachelors? Masters?

  • Answer:

The average salary for a newly minted BSBA is between $40,000 and $60,000 (most are between $40,000 and $50,000). After that, it depends on where you work, what you do, etc. If you are one of the lucky ones to make it to the upper echelon of management, you could be looking at $150,000 to $250,000 a year. The majority, however, will top out between $100,000 and $150,000 (in today's dollars). And then there are the lucky few who make it to Pres-CEO where salaries are 6 figures or more.
