Who is a Service Excellence Associate?

Does your company always remind employees to work hard towards service excellence?

  • besides this, does your company reward your if you work hard or provide good service?

  • Answer:

I'm retired from federal law enforcement. Providing good service would have been under par in our agency. We were expected to provide excellent service. During every meeting we were called upon to remember our code of conduct and to act accordingly and to the best of our abilities. We were awarded with step increases, plaques, and monetary gratuities for a job well done. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen in every occupation, but it should. A pat on the back and a verbal 'job well done' gives the employee the incentive to 'want' to do a better job. In this case, it's the manager's, supervisor's job to make sure those 'under him/her' are providing the company 'good service.' This meaning the managers themselves.

Mine doesn't really I work maintenance and I do a lot of cleaning at an apartment building and they don't really care so long as the people moving in don't notice. And no, we're not rewarded for hard workd or good service. We should be though! The job can be tough.

Yes it does...but not for the wrong reasons (like to be rewarded??) Our empahsis is that the Co is dependent on its custormers. Its the customers that pay our wages...so if we want to expand and sustain a healthy cash flow, the customer is KING! Then at the year end when the profits are posted, we employees get our 'fair share' in terms of a higher or lower bonus. My employer tends to be very fair as anyone in the 'backroom jobs like personnel, accounts or just admin complains why sales and service personnel always gets the 'better' of treatment/s, we 'threaten' to transfer the respective staff to these front line jobs, and, they then can also enjoy the 'higher in favour' treatment from management as we all feel that the Co will sink or swim depending on the direct performacnce of these critical staff who daily confront all our customers face on and therefore the survival of the firm will depend relatively more on them than these 'backroom but essential staff' This 'threat' works most of the time....and for those who continue to harbour any ill feeings, the door is always open for them to EXIT!
