What happens at a modeling interview?

What happens when your interview is unfinished?

  • Landed a interview in a hot start up company after a relatively good phone interview (which started late cause she called late) -- she offered me the in person interview while we were still on the phone. The interview was suppose to last 3 hours with 5 senior executives, the hiring manager, and the CEO. Initial interview rescheduled because the CEO had to fly out of town. Interview comes. I arrive on time but we start late because they have no rooms available. Fine. Meet all 6 people, into the third hour they say the CEO has something come up and say the hiring manager will call me to reschedule. She's already left. I send thank you e-mails the next day to everyone I met and I have received no follow up from her. Should I give up?? Otherwise, all the interviews went fairly well. On a scale of 1-5 at least a 4 for each. Am I out of the running? Any professional advice?

  • Answer:

The company did not handle this very well. They shouldn't say that you need to meet with 6 people if they can't be sure that all 6 will be available. They are showing a level of "confusion" that is not reassuring. You may get this job. You did everything right. Keep applying at other places and never look back. You sent the thank-you's. Nothing more for you to do.
