What is the best dress for an airline interview?

I have an interview for an airline tomorrow and the dress code is 'business casual' What is it?

  • I have a very smart loose fitting suit that looks perfectly OK with a very nice shirt buttoned up with no tie I like that look A safe option is the suit with classic white shirt and tie (which I don't like) Does 'Business Casual absolutely necessitate a tie or can I get away with the first option? Job is for ground crew.

  • Answer:

Business Casual or Smart Casual as our British bretheran would say, absolutely does not mean tie...if you wear a suit and tie you are Business Formal. Traditionally a pair of dress pants, not too loose fitting and a dress shirt is what they look for. No sneakers, no white socks, do not wear club attire, wear an undershirt if you are exposing much of your chest with your dress shirt and lastly make sure you tuck your shirt in. Good luck! FYI be sure your finger nails are clean too, that carry much more weight then you might think.

business casual..doesn't mean it should be a suit.. you can wear a nice long sleeve shirt or short sleeve either white or other colours which are not too bright or too stunning..just cool colour.. n either a black trouser or dark colour which can match with ur shirt.. no jeans nor t.shirts please... a tie if u want 2 but not a must.. ana a nice pair of black shoes which can go along with ur trous/shirt...your appearance clean shaved..smart.. good luck.hope the best.

Wear a tie...its always a safer bet. The better you dress the better you will come off! If they don't like you they'll know it before you even open your mouth!

For an interview, you should always dress completely "business" as it does impress more than the business casual look. After you get the job, do the business casual look. Always a better idea to be prepared. You can always take the tie off when you get there, but you can't put a tie on if you leave it at home! Good luck with the interview!

Business casual does not mean tie; and the outfit you chose sounds good, especially if you feel comfortable in it b/c then you will probably feel more like yourself at the interview. Good luck!
