How can I save money when I shopping at walmart?

Where can you typically save the most money: Walmart or Kroger?

• I've been shopping at Walmart as my default for a while for most items because overall it seems to have better prices. BUT... I know at Kroger, you can use your Kroger card to gain points for when you buy in the store and purchase gas; you can also go online and pick out coupons to put on the card. If I were to shop at Kroger most of the time and keep my coupons on the card up-to-date... would I probably end up saving more money there? What has been your experience? Got any tips? ALSO: I know that Walmart will accept any other store's lower price at checkout, whether it be from an ad or a coupon. But it would be a lot of trouble to constantly be comparing the two stores' prices, ya know? So what are your thoughts? Where can I typically save the most money overall?

  Walmart is cheaper. If you do the math you're saving more there usually.
