How do you pay for Virgin Mobile's monthly plans?

If i pay 16ppm to mobiles how much would i pay if i spent 10.5ppm?

  • Hello everyone, My phone bill just came in and wonder if you can help. I pay 16ppm to mobiles with a 7p minimum call charge. I was on the phone for a total of 7hrs 58mins and 08sec and my bill was £90.11. I have just been offered a reduced rate of 10.5ppm still with a 7p minimum call charge. I want to know how much my bill would have been if i only paid 10.5ppm so i can see how much i will save. Does anybody know how this is worked out?

  • Answer:

Every mobile contract comes with some 'free minutes' and 'free texts' etc. In your case it looks like your get no free minutes at all, and, since 8 hrs talking time at 16p is only £76.80, (and your bill was £90), you are being charged an extra £15 or so for something extra .. IN THEORY you might save £26 a month or so ... However, I think that anyone who can afford to squander over £1,000 a year 'chatting on the phone' (and has no idea how they are being charged for it) has money to burn & will spend it in other ways ... So, at a guess, whatever the rate, you will save nothing ..
