How to sell things on amazon? What happens next?

  • Im selling books on amazon.com and I have purchased products from amazon but I have never sold anything. Someone bought a book but I dont know what I do now. It gives me option to confirm shipment, however when I go to UPS they tell me I need to pay around $20 to ship, when it says on the packing slip the buyer only payed $3.99 for shipping. Why am I paying more for shipping? Im thinking im looking something over. Please help as I need the money for these books asap. Also, when do I get the money for the book they bought?

    Amazon allows a $3.99 shipping allowance for books. If you ship via USPS and use Media Mail, it probably won't even cost that much. UPS is an extremely expensive way to send a light package. You'll get the money in 14 days, just as they explained to you when you opened your seller account.
