How to right an email to a company asking for a Saturday job?
-
I'm 14, 15 in April and I need a bit of extra cash, and the only thing that I can possibly do to get some money is to get a weekend job. I have asked local newsagents for paper rounds, but as you know, there is plenty of other teens out there looking for work. Anyways, how would I write a letter to a company asking if they would be willing to accept me for a Saturday job. If you have any other suggestions to get some extra cash, would be much appreciated! Thanks dudes and dudettes! :)

Legally you can't be employed until you are 16 and in possession of your national insurance number and N.I. card A paper round is all you can do until then Also an e-mail will get ignored,as it is not a proper job application

Unlikely an e-mail will get any reply. Stick to turning up in person and asking politely if they have anything for you in the summer. Make a good impression and you are much more likely to get a positive outcome.

Definitely turn up in person - with a basic CV in your hand. You are allowed to work at 14 - but only certain hours, however for a Saturday job, that shouldn't be a problem. For your CV: Name /Address Phone / email Date of Birth / Age Personal Statement School / Subjects After school activities if any Hobbies / Interests Reference (one will do)

You are too cute! Dudes and dudettes? I love it! As someone else here already said, show up to places in person and ask if they could use your help. You seem to have a great personality and I'm sure some business would enjoy making you part of their team. Best wishes.
