Can I get unemployment if my store goes out of business?
-
My name is Tiffany and I'm 18:) I work at XYZ and I hear they will be going out of business soon. I have been there for almost four months. Will I be able to collect unemployment if they go out of business? I hope so because I am a full time student and it was so difficult finding a store that can work around my schedule. It will maybe take a year before I can start another job :( EDIT: It's a Fortune 500 company if that helps and it RHYMES WITH WALMART :)

Answer:
The fact that a store is going out of business would make it ok to receive unemployment. However, all other requirements must be met. Some states require more than 4 months of employment history.
