What's hiring process at Target like?

Didi I get hired at Target?

  • So I went to a mass hiring interview for a brand new Target store that hasn't opened yet and was offered a position as a cashier. I soon got an email about my orientation date. One day before my orientation day, I get a call saying that my orientation has been moved to a different Target store and it's a week later. The person from Target also said that the people from the mass hire got confused about some stuff and that's why my orientation was changed. She also said, "You have been cleared to the next level." Does this mean that I'm still in the hiring process and haven't got the job yet??

  • Answer:

You have not gotten the job yet but should if you are going to the next step. When i applied at target in 2008, they have like 3steps the the hiring process. you have like 3interviews and orientation and have to get a drug test and if you pass the test you are hired..good luck!

If you have an orientation date than that usually means you got hired! Do keep in mind though that a lot of places when they first hire over hire as a way of weeding people out to get the best applicants! So if you see a lot of people don't freak out just do your absolute best and always be on time (15 minutes early is better) for at least the first month or two!

I think your hired if you go to the orientation. But you might want to call someone first and make sure target hired you.
