How To Find Companies In Malaysia?

How do i find out who in a company makes decisions regarding charitable donations?

  • I am trying to raise nearly £4000 for a month long expedition to Borneo and Malaysia where I, and others in my school year will be doing community/conservation work. Unlike my peers I don't have wealthy relatives who can just give me the money so i have to ask companies but I can't find who I should be addressing the letters to, if anyone knows how to find this out or has any other fundraising information I would be very grateful.

  • Answer:

For small. local companies, you need to address the manager of the store who can either make the decision or consult the owner. For larger, multi-site stores and businesses, you would call the headquarters and ask for the "corporate social responsibility" officer or the marketing/advertising department about sponsorships. You should be prepared with information on how supporting your mission will benefit them - branding opportunities, etc. Be advised, most companies do not give sponsorships or donations to individuals. But it can't hurt to ask.
