What's hiring process at Target like?

How is the Target hiring process?

• I have a job interview and i was wondering how many interviews would i be going through, i applied as a Backroom member. Also, what is the interview process like? And information would be a great help. This is my first job interview so i am pretty nervouse. Thanks!

  You will be going through two job interviews. It is mandatory that the first one be conducted by either the Store Manager (STL), Executive Team Leader (ETL - level below store manager), or Team Leader (TL - level below ETL. The second interview has to be conducted by either the STL or any ETL. Since you are applying for Backroom, the backroom manager, also known as the ETL Logistic, will most likely do one of the interviews, since that is who you will be directly working for. The first interview will consist of 18 questions, give or take a few depending on your answers. I wish I could list the questions for you, but legally I cannot provide them. They vary from general questions about your thought about the position/company, background information (previous job questions), availability and behavorial based questions (meaning questions that begin with..."tell me about a time when...?"). The second interview will be about 12 questions, give or take. These questions will be similar to the first interview. So, since you already have your interview scheduled, you'll come in and meet with the first interviewer who should explain what the job entails and then you will begin with the questions. You should expect to have your second interview right after your first one (this is the typical process). You will most likely be taken to an office or conference room for your interviews do aviod any distractions. Make sure to be prepared to ask questions about the company/position as it shows interest. Have the questions already in mind...and it's completely okay to have them written down (in case you forget since you'll be nervous)...nervousness is to be expected. Try to relax so your true personality will shine through. When answering questions about how you handled situations in the past, make sure to tell the interviewer the situation, what happened, and how was it resolved (what did you do, what would you have done differently, explain the outcome, etc.). When you are done with the interview, either you will be told that you will be contacted on whether or not you have received the position if they need to evaluate more candidates. If you are lucky, they will offer you a job on the spot...in which an offer will be made, indicating your pay, position, a few policies, and then you would have to complete a drug test within 24 hours (in most states...Im from California).
