What are the roles of a business development executive ?

• I actually wanted a job of a developer-- a php developer. But in most of the interviews i attended, they were like, your tech knowledge is very poor, you need more experience. They were all offering me this job of a BDE, since my English is good, where i have to get clients for the company. I'm trying to figure out what my line is !?.. is there a good future in this marketing line ? I'm 22 yrs old now. I heard BDM is like the next level in which we can earn a lot ??

If you develop a lot of business for your employer you have the potential to "earn a lot". The other side of the coin is that if you don't sell enough of what the company is offering you will eventually be terminated. "is there a good future in this marketing line?"
