Where's my mail package?

ROYAL MAIL NEVER KNOCKED DOOR TO DELIVER PACKAGE?

• I was expecting a package this morning, I was in a room right next to the front door all morning, At 10am a postman came and posted usual letters (thought he cant have been the postman with delivery as he had no package with him when walking to the door) , I checked the letters when he left and within those letters were a royal mail package leaflet telling me they called and i need to go pick up my package in 24 hours? I need this package today and i know 100% he never knocked, I don't know why he did this, maybe the package wasn't in their offices this morning for a delivery and they're covering themselves? Has this happened to anyone else, and if i went there today to go collect it, would they have it in the office now for me?

  Did the card actually say that he called and got no reply? It may have stated a reason as to why it was undeliverable and thats why you need to collect.... If it does say he called and you weren't in then you need to report the postman to the delivery office you are now going to have to visit There's no chance you would be able to pick it up the same day, any undeliverable mail ends up getting mixed when the posties get back and needs to be sorted again, usually the next morning Ps. I work for RM and this has happened to me too, its a pain in the ***! @Kernow Lady - leaving a parcel wouldn't make their round shorter, they still need to deliver the letters to all the doors, it would only make the bag lighter
