Target orientation/employment questions?
-
I have my orientation scheduled for monday and had a few questions after reading other questions posted by other users. 1) I don't have a red shirt/polo so would it be ok to wear khaki's and a white polo? 2) I noticed that many employees there were wearing khaki's and a red polo with the bullseye/target logo on it. Are employees given the shirt/polo or do we need to buy them? 3) How does the discount work? are there limits to how much you can buy or how many times you can use them? 4) How does the whole paycheck system work? is it bi-weekly or weekly or monthly? and do you get a check in the mail or do you pick it up somewhere? 5) When I applied, I put down Cashier/Sales Floor. What is the hardest thing about this position and how was your experience as a cashier/sales floor? 6) The person who interviewed me just said my orientation is at 10:30 on Monday so I am guessing it's 10:30am? or do they have orientations after the store closes? thanks.

Answer:
Ok, most of this is covered at orientation but just in case something was missed. answer to number 1. - For your orientation you don't have to wear red and khaki, just go casual. But on your first day red blank shirt and khaki pants are a must. answer to number 2. - The shirts you see the employees wearing are optional. At your orientation you should be given the web site where you can order the logo shirts. The site is bullseyeshop.com. This site has the basic logo shirts, but some shirts are special and can only get through community volunteering and contests. answer to number 3.- The discount works only if your paying cash or using the target red card(credit card) and you can use it as many times on what ever you like. You should get a employee card with your special numbers on it. answer to question 4.- It is bi-weekly on Fridays and you can sign up for auto deposit or pick up your check at the store. answer to question 5.- I have never really worked sales floor specifically but I know main focus is on guest, you dnt want them to push the call boxes. Also suggesting red cards, and zoning (straightening) are some things you may have to do. answer to question 6.- For your orientation I think its safe to say its in the morning. At 10:30 usually everyone is zoning and rapping up getting ready to leave. Have fun at orientation :) enjoy the film.
