Walmart gift card?

Problems with my Walmart Visa Gift card?

• I got a Walmart Visa Gift card for Christmas and tried to use it on iTunes, to find it wouldn't work. Then I tried to buy a 25 dollar iTunes gift card on Walmart.com, and it wouldn't let me. Now when I check my account balance it says my current balance is $25 and my available balance is $0! I even cancelled the iTunes gift card in my cart! I'm so frustrated right now please help!

  I work for walmart.com customer service. Every time an order is attempted the financial institution often times will place what is called an authorization hold on the funds required to pay for the order with anticipation for the order to be completed and billed. Walmart.com does not actually charge for their orders until the items ship out. Auth holds usually only last 3-5 business days from the time it is placed. However because you used a prepaid credit card, those auth holds often take 30-90 days to be released. Once the financial institution realizes that the charge is not going to be processed, the financial institution releases the funds back to you. The order probably was not completed because your billing info prob was not matched impecablly with what the prepaid card has listed. You should call the cust service number on the back of your card for more info on their auth hold policies.
