Is it possible to get out of selling an ebay item?

When selling something on EBAY(UK) how do I get the item to the person?

  • I'm planning on selling a rare zippo lighter on ebay, but I'm not too sure how I get it to the person. Do I just take it to the post office and tell them the address etc and they package and send it? Charging me a small fee ofc

    You'll have to box and seal it yourself first, usually they are right there in the post office. They should take care of the labeling and postage, I'm not sure how postal service runs in the UK.

You wrap it yourself, put a address on the parcel then give it to the post office to send

Never send something that size in a regular envelope. They will send it through a sorter machine that tries to smash them to be sure you are not sending anything thick in it. In this case you are. It would be torn to shreds at your expense, and it cannot be replaced being a rare Zippo. Buy a padded or bubble envelope at least 4x6 inches. Write the winners address and your return address on it. The P.O. will weigh and asses its destination and affix postage that you'll pay for. So, on ebay, charge at least $3.30 for shipping when posting the Zippo. redbarchettadrive on ebay.... That's me!

yeah, just take it to the post office mate and ask for an envelope for it, put it in envelope and he will weigh it and put a stamp on it. you can put how much the postage is gonna be on ebay when you are selling it so the payer pays for postage to ;)

No you package and address it, then take it post office and ask for recorded delivery so you know when they get your item. Have you never send post before!?
