What kind of education do companies look for when hiring in Customer service??

  • I know most it’s a high school diploma but what college education would help make you more attractive a hire

  • Answer:

Actually, a college education isn't necessarily the route to take. Certification in the area you are dealing with is more important. For example, I hire people for customer service roles in the computer industry. I would rather see MCSE, CNE and other certifications than a degree in computer sciences. Even better, experience dealing with customers and the products you are dealing with..... experience beats education in the customer service arena.

have you ever wondered why its not the hardest workers who get promoted. it is true, the most sociable and friendly person gets the part. its because they know they'll be a team player and possibly a good leader in training who is willing to learn. in some cases they are chosen over the most qualified. its best if you are all of the above though.
