Does Gamefly normally have long shipping delays?

How long does Fedex SmartPost shipping normally take?

  • It said on the web that it takes 2-8 days, but I was wondering if anyone has had any past experience with this particular shipping option and how long it really takes. Is it closer to the 2 day mark or the 8 day mark? Thank you!

    FedEx SmartPost works with the USPS Bulk Mail (Standard Parcel) service. The package is shipped from the shipper to the nearest US Post Office of the destination zip code via Ground (truck). Then, the postal service takes the package and delivers it to the destination, without a rush. If there is a rush of parcels at the USPS during a particular month, then the delivery of the SmartPost package will be delayed for one or 2 days. Thus, the 2-8 day estimate is given. A delivery confirmation on the FedEx website will only show delivery to the Post Office and to the recipient. Normally, however, this service is pretty quick and takes about 5-6 days for delivery from Point A to Point B, including weekends.
