My FedEx tracking update says delivery exception what does it mean?

Fedex Delivery Exception!?

  • Please a need help!..I ordered an item, and it happened to be by the worst of all service. Fedex Smartpost! okay the package delivery estimated was on Feb 11th and I'm writing this the next day. When I check the tracking number it says: "Delivery Exception - Customer not available or business closed - Please contact your local Post Office to pick up or reschedule the delivery" That happened on the 10th of February..And I was in my house the whole freaking day..and theres no way they couldn't find anyone..They even not rang the bell or leaved a note..Absolutely no signs of the package what so ever. So my package says it's suppose to be on USPS local post office..I went to my local post office, happened to be they just can't help me! because the tracking number I gave them doesn't work with them only with Fedex. How The F.. it's not gonna work with them since on the tracking history says clearly they transfered the shipment information from Fedex to USPS and when I go to the USPS site my tracking number doesn't work..Went to them and they tell me: "Sorry but when Fedex transfer the shipment info to us, they give us a different tracking number? I'm like why the hell I didn't receive any tracking number from USPS since they have it now!..So they can't help me or they don't want to help me..Now the package got stuck saying: Delivery Exception" and idk what else should I do, the only tracking number I have only work with fedex not with USPS but the package USPS happen to have it.. Can someone tell me what I should do in this situation! :(

  • Answer:

Fedex can't help you much, because the PO has your package. There are 2 tracking numbers on the package 1. Fedex and 2. PO. You need the PO number or the door tag number the PO should have left when they tried to deliver it. If you're tracking doesn't show the PO number and you don't have a doortag then try calling Fedex or the shipper, they may have the PO tracking number.
