What's the difference between a seasonal customer service rep and a customer service rep?

  • I am applying online to blockbuster, but there are job openings for customer service rep and a seasonal customer service rep. the job descriptions are the same, but what does seasonal mean?

    "Seasonal" usually translates to mean the busy period for the company. For most retailers, that would mean the period of time between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not sure if that would be the same for blockbuster.

Seasonal means that the job is only for certain months out of the year, so it may just be a summer job that starts in June and ends in September. Otherwise the other position is full time all year round.

They are probably looking for christmas help. Seasonal is just that, during a season. christmas is the largest selling season retail shops have unless your in a tourist type town. Ours is October thru December.

seasonal means - When demand is higher - for the season. Like CHRISTMAS or the SUMMER MOVIE season. It means that they won't need you for MONTHS on end.
