How do you reply to feedback left on ebay?

Ebay: I Left positive feedback and stuff before i got the item and its not what i wanted what can i do?

  • I Was stupid by leaving the feedback already.. basicaly i left a positive feedback and when the item came i said i got it; But it wasnt what i wanted. Since i already left a positive feedback and said i got the item is there anything i can do or can't i do anything and i just have to live on.. lol :)

    Reading your question carefully, you have left positive feedback on an item that you got. Now you have found out that it isn't what you wanted. Sorry but why on earth would you want to change your feedback? It is not the sellers fault that the item you paid for and received is not what you wanted. So if you were allowed to do so, you would change your feedback to a negative one and punish the seller for doing nothing wrong? Your only bet is to email the seller and explain to him that you made a mistake and could you please return the item and mention that you don't mind paying both sets of postage, the delivery of the item to you and the charges for sending it back. If the seller is a nice guy he might accept it. Unfortunately when you use eBay it is assumed that you will act in a mature manner and not change your mind on receipt of the item. If the seller refuses to accept the item back for refund all you can do is to sell it on eBay again yourself for whatever price you can get for it. Alternatively you can just "live on" as you said above LOL :))

Yes...one can only wonder why you did that. You will find it tricky to explain to ebay, who generally see this sort of thing a simple change of mind rather than anything more significant. But give it a go.

You can still open return cases, even after leaving feedback.

it says all over the feedback section that once you leave it - it's permanent unless it's abusive. It's stuck...

Contact ebay and the seller directly.

contact the buyer explain whats happened, they might understand x

First of all, feedback is NOT permanent. There are a FEW cases in which feedback can be removed. Unfortunately, there is really no way you can get a Positive Feedback removed, only Negative and Neutral. Here is eBay's own help page on this topic: http://pages.ebay.com/help/feedback/questions/remove.html BUT this in no way restricts you from filing a claim against the seller for sending you an incorrect item. If you feel the seller sent you the wrong item, you can file a significantly-not-as-described complaint against the seller. Hope this helps.
