Selling on Amazon, please help?
-
I want to sell my college book on amazon but Im a bit confused about the fees. I read them on the amazon website and it says that you dont pay anything until your item sells. But my question is once my item sells do I have to pay amazon the fees or does amazon take the fees out of the cost of my item? Since amazon is paying me do they just take the money out of the cost and give me whats left after the fees? for example if i sell something for 50 dollars will amazon take out their fees that they charge from the 50 and then give me what is left. Or does amazon pay me and then I pay them? Sorry if its confusing im trying to find the best way to explain it. Thank you

Answer:
Amazon takes their fees out of the money they give you. What you get will be the amount the buyer paid, minus the fees you owe Amazon, plus their shipping allowance (typically $3.99).
