What are the specific advantages of India as a place to outsource activities to?Are there activities in your organization that it would be possible to outsource? If so, how far away could they be done? What are the limits to this?

Answer:
India is emerging as a country that contains some highly educated adaptable hard working individuals. Wages are tiny in India compared to the US, so this is why it is cheaper to use Indian call centers versus domestic ones. Personally though I think that outsourcing is a slap in the face to American workers and exploits developing countries.

I don't think there are any. Have you dealt with trying to get answers from Indian call centers concerning credit cards or technology problems. It sure helps to have someone on the other whose first language is English.
