Is there a Walmart in Acapulco?

Walmart.com FedEx shipment question, "Package data transmitted to FedEx"?

  • I ordered an Mp3 player from Walmart.com last Friday night (Nov 28), and paid for it with Paypal and everything. The next day, I received confirmation e-mails from Paypal and Walmart. Paypal said my payment to Walmart.com had been processed. But then yesterday night, Monday Dec 1, I received an e-mail from Walmart.com saying that the item I ordered was out of stock (the website said it was being discontinued, too...). The e-mail said if the item came back in stock in the next 10 days Walmart would send it, if not, it would cancel my order and refund the money. But this morning (Dec 2) at 9:45, the Walmart website said that the item was "shipped". When I clicked the "tracking" button to check its status with FedEx, FedEx said "Package data transmitted to FedEx". Does this mean my item actually shipped? I know that means that FedEx only recieved the DATA, not an actual package, but if the item is out of stock on Walmart.com, why would Walmart have transmitted package data to FedEx?
