What is the best web hosting company to go with for the money?

You can use EMPHoster for cheap hosting. As for the domain name are better to redirect the name server to point to the new hosting company instead of moving the domain name. Steve- there are lots of good web hosting companies out there that cost less than $20 so that shouldn't be a problem to find one, and when you set up with those companies they will prompt you to transfer any domains, so thats easy. i could be wrong and you might want to do some more research but i dont think that who you are hosting with affects if you show up on top of search listings. if you are showing up on top it is probably based on who is linked to your site, content, etc. so keep doing what your doing. as far as a suggestion for who a good host is i just ran across a new site when i was doing research for a client, it is called hostfunder.com/hello they have some interesting blogs but more importantly they are offering a free year hosting through fat cow hosting. which is awesome for me bc that is who i use with some of the other sites i built, so i know they are reliable and never have a lot of down time. so check that out. good luck.
