Is Kmart a good place to work?

Question about where i should work at...McDonald's Or Kmart?

  • ok i'm a highschool student looking for a job....i have two options Mcdonald's or kmart. which one do u think would be better if i get mcdonalds i would be making 6.75 an hour and if i get kmart i would be a cashier making 7.00 an hour. i have asked my friedns that work at mcdonalds and my friends that work at kmart and they say that both of them are a pin in the a-s-s anyother place where a 16 year old guy like me should apply at??? please i would really aprreciate ur help.

    I worked for kmart for 4 years and your friends are right..they are a pain in the *** to work for. The only good thing about working for them is having retail experience. With retail experience, it will be alot easier for you to get a job elsewhere. I've never worked for McDonalds but I have relatives that have and they moved up the ladder pretty quick and made some good money. Working as a cashier, you have to deal directly with customers...working at McDonald's, you will probably be working away from them. I guess I would weigh the pros and cons of each and decide which one would fit your needs better. Good luck!!

Either one will be about the same. Mcdonalds will stay open later, and it gets hot behind the counter there. KMart sounds easier to me.

kmart, or you'll never be able to eat fast food again. If your heavy, that might be a good thing though. Your decision. Try putting both into a hat, and pull one out. You don't have to do that one, but see how you felt about it.

McDonalds is less pay and you will be around a lot of grease. Grease = acne. I would do K-mart. Isnt there anything else? Like how about Starbucks or something? Or a waiter somewhere you can also get tips. Tips means more money!
