What do you have to do in North Carolina to renew an expired drivers license?

  • I was just wondering what exactly you had to do to renew an expired drivers license in North Carolina. I know that to renew a valid license all you have to do is take the eye test and signs test and pay, but I was wondering if there was more to it if the license was expired. Thanks

    My husband just renewed his expired license last month and it has been expired for 2 years since we were out of country, He only had to do the eye test and the sign test and pay. Nothing more than those two things.
