How long after getting a DUI in Alabama can u get a CDL?

I got a DUI in 2008 some where around June and from what ive been hearing I should be able to get a CDL 3 years after the arrest. I now its hard to find a job driving a truck after getting a DUI but i got that covered. I just need to know when ill be able to try to get a CDL.

If you are convicted of a commercial vehicle DUI, you will have your license suspended for one year without the option of a hardship license; two years if you refused the breathalyzer test. Unlike other states, there is no provision for a hardship license in Alabama. For multiple offenses, the penalties are much stricter with longer suspension times.
