Stopped School Bus. I dont recall this situation! !!?

  • Today January 17th 2012 a state trooper appeared at my house to write me a ticket for passing a stopped school bus on Dec 20. 2011 He did not witness the crime nor do I recall ever doing this. He wrote me the ticket based off what the bus driver said. I don't even recall being at that particular place that day. Being a month after the day I can't remember everything that went on. I do remember all schools had an early dissmissal of 1:00 pm that day and the bus driver was saying I passed the bus at 3:11pm near the school. Later I found out the bus driver is a neighbor that my mom had complained about in the past for picking my brothers and sisters at 6 am and her siblings at 720am. Also two years ago her grandson was with a guy who i accussed of sexual harassment for pinching my hip and rubbing against me in a cafeteria line. To worsen the situation the trooper wrote on the ticket that the incident happened at 523pm on dec 20th instead of 311 pm. At 530 buses would have been done dropping off all the kids and parked at the school. I am so stressed and am scared to be charged for something I don't recall doing.

  • Answer:

i live in ohio and i know they write tickets based off of a bus drivers word rather wrong or not. i had a friend who had a sheriff deputy show up to his house and issue him a ticket for passing a bus at 645am. my friend didn't get off work that day till 7am. the only way he got out of it was to get his boss and his time card for the day and take them to court. he did get it dropped. take all the fact you have and go to a lawyer so you don't get screwed.

are you even sure it was a real state trooper that came to your house. I don't know what state you live in so I can't tell you what to do or expect. in the state of texas an officer has to witness a traffic violation in order to write a ticket. the fine for passing a bus here is enormous. perhaps you should consult an attorney before you get railroaded. I do know that I would not have signed a ticket any officer wrote a month after an incident supposedly happened. I would have been on the phone with his boss in a heart beat. see a lawyer and do it real quick.
