Where can you learn how to customize cars?

How can I learn more about cars?

  • I want to learn more about cars, I want to know more about the exterior, types, under the hood, the works, do I take some classes or something? Or would I take a job opportunity (if I could ever find one) at a place where they work on cars? I can't find any classes, maybe dual enrollment at my school because they offer automobile detailing. But I want to learn about how to fix cars, what are some opportunities where I can learn about cars more?

  • Answer:

    Buy a older car... you will end up working on it often enough and will be forced to learn as you go! You might want to approach a few local garages and ask if they need any part time help. Starting with small engines (lawn mowers, chainsaws, snowmobiles, etc.) is also a very good start. Do you live near farming country or have any friends with a farm? Talk to them if you do...farmers or ranchers are always fixing something.
