How much does it cost to import a car from Japan to California?

Looking at importing a slightly older car for a drifter project. Was thinking about an AE86 GTV. I was just wondering how much can one expect for shipping the car, and any costs that the US dumps on you and what not for importing?

Might be alot. (sorry dont have exact price, it would cost around 200 to ship this guitar i want from japan so..) It is good to have connections. but if you do import from japan, i have no idea but are you allowed to drive with the steering wheel on the right side of the car in California? it would make payings tolls and stuff real difficult
