With the technology today, why cant we make cars run off water?

And just what makes you think such technology really exists. Stop listing to urban legends and myths.

Get real.... The first thing you need is a fuel that will burn to produce energy, & make the car go. Last time I checked.. you throw water on a fire to put it out...

Because, no one would make money money off of that. Well the water companies nothing would but, it wouldn't be comparable to gas or Corn, i mean ethanol.

well, at first, all engines were electric, and then the gasoline companies gave henery ford gasoline engines for free, where as he had to pay to build his own electric ones. so he obveously went with the gasoline engines. Anymore, im sure that there have been invintions to oppose gasoline, but im sure the gasoline companies just pay those people off before the idea gets too big...or maybe they do just assassinate them...

they do have cars that are hyrdro powered but they are still just a concept that are too expensive to sell on the market. and still the reliability of them are unknown. gasoline is still easiest, and efficient source of fuel for automotive engines. do to the fact that not enough research has gone into alternative fueling. e-85 ethanol and fuel cells are near in the future...but water powered is still something that has a while before its comes out into the market

they technology is out there...some guy in florida has developed it a couple years back...hes seem to have dissapeared tho. no idea.

I dont know about runnig a car completely on water but they do sell a system on ebay to make you car run off of water and gas they say you can get like double you gas mileage with it.. google water4gas
