What Is Red-Eyes Turbo?

What does it mean if a turbo kit says "600" HP turbo kit?

  • In ordering a turbo kit for my mustang gt 2007, the horsepower is around 300 stock, I was looking online at a turbo kit for my my year model and it says for my mustang that the kit is a 600+ horsepower turbo kit.. Does that mean with my 300 horsepower engine plus the turbo that I will be pushing 600hp.. Or what does it mean.. What happens if I put 600 hp in the Motor naturally aspirated and the put the 600hp turbo on?.. That mean that the turbo wont work cuz it's over 600?.. I'm just trying to find out basically if the turbo is going to make my car have 600hp period or if that's the max the turbo can handle.. I'm new to the turbo world so bare with me.. Thanks for yalls help

  • Answer:

It usually means the Turbo kit is CAPABLE of 600 HPs, it does not mean it will bump your power to 600 HPs, if you are at 300 now, you can expect around 450 HPs once the turbo is installed. If you install that turbo on a 600 HPs engine, it wont work, as the turbo wont be able to provide enough air to that super engine. You can use a car performance simulator to virtually tune your car and see how it improves with the turbo or any other mods, you can run test like 0-60mph and stuff like that, try at source link below

It means they are liars! A turbo will get you 50 to 70 Hp MAXIMUM without internal engine mods. Don't buy that one! Find a Mustang club or forum and find out what they run & recommend for your model. :)
