Garmin Nuvi 1200 won't work?

  • So, today my Garmin 1300 broke, I really needed one for work, so bought a new one at the store, the garmin 1200, only to find that the screen doesn't work...it shows the picture, and lets me click the right scroll button, but nothing else works. I can't accept, go back, or click the left button. What the ******* **** is wrong with it?

    Swap it out for a tomtom.

I've had various GPS systems freeze up on me, especially touch screen. First the obvious> seeing as it's brand new, did you pull all plastics etc off the screen that might interfere with the touch interface? Is it charged enough? Second> some touch screens require warmth and do not work if you are wearing gloves or similar. Third> Reset the system if it's still frozen.I find this solves my issues 99% of the time. If above fails, it would be a good idea to take it back to the store and do an exchange before the time period runs out.
