How long does it take to get certified as a medical interpreter?

Can you just take a ASE test and get certified?

  • I have four years Auto experience in high school. I'm pretty sure I can pass, I just don't want to go to college or trade school! I want to know if I can just take a test can get certified. Thx for yo answers.

  • Answer:

you do not need technical school or college. You do have to have 2 years of verifiable experience in the field. Technical school or college counts as 1 year of experience. If you have verifiable experience, you can take the test. You can take the test even if you don't have the experience, you just won't get the ASE certification. Those ASE questions are pretty messed up though, but if you can get ASE test study guides, you can pass.

If you pay to take it. But the questions are really technical. Just because you can actually do the work doesn't mean you can do the test. I do my own work, but I've seen sample questions and they are tough.
