How Can I Calibrate A SWR Meter?

Trouble with SWR on 11 meter CB band.?

• When I look at the reading on my radio meter when it is hooked directly up to the antenna, the swr ratio is slightly over one. When i hook my radio shack external meter between the antenna and the radio the swr on both meters is between two an three. What exactly is happening here? The Radio is a cobra 29 classic The the antenna is the 4ft radio shack brand The meter is also radio shack brand

The guy I bought my dual firestik from did the turning free. Turefuly I would return the meter and go to a cb shop most will tune them for like $15 to $20. U should care much about tuneing until u find a better Antanna because that's a cheap one, u have to look around good but there are a lot of cb shops. Also try Craigslist
