How could a 14 year old build up to touring cars?

• Hello. Im 14 i have always wanted a racing career whether it was F1, touring cars etc as long as it is racing but i prefer touring cars. Anyway if i want to build my way up to it what should i start with? karts? I know you cant just do go carting then become a touring car driver you have be progress to formula ford or formula 3000. So where and when should I start? Thanks

  Find out what events are held at local tracks. The two types of racing that come to mind are "Legends" and "Bandolaro". Grassroots Motorsports also some times has articles on how to develop as a race car driver. Until you get old enough to hold a drivers license (or at least a learners permit) I don't think SCCA would do much good. You might want to start following the Mazda Driver Promotion events. They have an active program to help young drivers progress to professionals. I don't know of any other car maker this active helping those like you.
