Is a suspension lift or a body lift better for a Silverado?

I want to add 2-4 inches of lift (not body lift) to my truck, already have 6" lift?

  • I have a 6" Fabtech lift on my 2000 Chevy Silverado 1500 Z71. I want to add between 2 and 4 inches of lift without having to replace the entire lift kit, but I would like to avoid a body lift unless that is the most viable option. I was thinking about just installing either a leveling kit or some blocks onto the suspension and possibly add another leaf spring. Would this work or is there a better option?

  • Answer:

the only way is to get a 8 inch lift and sell your 6", or get a taller tire... anything else is just making it into a hack job...
