How to wire an ignition wire to my deck?

2000 Audi A4 ignition wire have no power?

  • the black wire on the ignition harness does not show 12 volts when I turn the ignition to the ON position. I was wondering if there's a fuse for the ignition wire. the car does not start. there's power on the accessory wire, there are power on both the red wire on the ignition harness. also there's power coming out the starter wire but no power on the ignition wire. i was wondering if anyone knows if there's another fuse box somewhere in the car besides the one that's on the driver kick panel. greatly appreciated for any help. Thanks!

  • Answer:

The pos pwr wire running to ignition point is actually controlled by the ECM/ECU - if the acusecur coding doesnt register a reasonable unlock and entry it will not allow power to run to the ignition. That small 12dc is running to a pos end of a relay box under the hood which actually sends the power signal to the starter pony solenoid.
