What is Porsche's fastest production car?

Car manufacturer’s production lines?

  • Just had an argument with a friend about car manufacturer’s production lines. He belives the likes of Honda, BMW, BMW Mini etc set up new factorys for each new model car that they bring out (e.g. when rover exsisted they had one factory building 25's, another building 45's and another building 75's etc.) and i argued that they simply incorporate the new models into their current factorys. Could some one clear this up? thanks very much in advance.

  • Answer:

many car companies simply shut down the assembly line to re tool the existing line to produce different or new Models. for example the honda factory in the us can go from making two door civics one day to making the honda pilot the next day. this is why car makers now make different style cars on the same platform or frame. for example the lincoln ls was made on the same platform as the four door jaguar. all car companies do this some high end exceptions aston martin ferrari etc.
