How do you build a go kart kit?

Building first dune buggy/go kart, need help?

• Me and my friend would really like to build a dune buggy/go kart together. We don't know too much, but will learn along the way. We would like to keep it cheap but still use a used motorcycle engine 500 cc and up. What I am wondering is: How would we first go about designing it (or is there a good kit on the internet for just frame and stuff)? What would be a good engine? How hard is it to use a motorcycle engine? What would the price range be for a project of this kind?

  to get a good ideal of what to do and how to do it, look at some mini pulling tractors that use motorcycle engine. they are basic machines that are very much like what you want to build.
